La Vie En Rose

Inspired by HIMYM’s Cristi Milioti’s rendition of La Vie En Rose.

To be frank, I don’t even know if my capitalization is correct here, I mean, I don’t speak French.

The show HIMYM really left a positive impression on me. So far this is the second song that I did a cover on that appeared on the show. When I first bought the ukulele a few weeks ago, the first song I played was La Vie En Rose. Ukulele is pretty much like the guitar but smaller, so picking it up was quite easy.

This song is super easy, basically recorded this in 5 hours. Didn’t need fixing or anything, it just worked.

Huh, I really thought there’d be much more to write about here.

Video

I cut the video short half way while I was editing the video. I figured, no one is gonna sit for a repeat while everything is the same, literally, it is a repeat.

The video was fun to make though, I spent the entire day recording and editing, just for the 2 minute video. The roses are the ones found on the album cover of Trust You, and the 1080p slow motion scene is pretty fun to make.
