Planning Stage

As I finished my LSAT in August, I was going to return to China right away. However, procrastination kicked in and I decided to go back to China after I finish my applications. That took a little too long and seemed like it wasn’t going to finish by the end of the month, so I decided to go back to China in October. Both Uncle John and my friend Kihyun happen to leave Korea before the 26th, so I bought my tickets to arrive in Korea by the 19th and leave on the 23rd.

I reserved a full day for each of the 3 people I am going to see in Korea. I was going to see Kihyun twice on both the 19th and and the 23rd, but I soon realized that I calculated the time wrong, as I thought when I leave the U.S. on the 18th, I would arrive by the 18th in Korea, but that calculation should be reversed. I won’t arrive in Korea until the 19th. Luckily Kihyun lives near by the airport and offered to pick me up at around 6 PM.

Ticket and hotel is hella expensive though.

The price for tickets and hotels certainly got a lot more expensive compared to the last time I was there, when Chinese travelers weren’t allowed to travel internationally. The hotel I booked last time in Myeongdong was full this time around, and I had to book one very far away from Myeongdong because I could not afford the ones near it.

Note: Do this 72 hours before your flight date, and it will be valid for 3 years. I did mine last year already, so I don’t need to do it again.

I have not planned on where I would be when I am in Korea, like last time. However, I do know that I have 3 full days scheduled to meet three different people.

October 19th: Kihyun

October 20th: Uncle John

October 21st: Soo A

October 22nd: Kihyun
